AH! Before I welcome you to the newest addition to my Apple family, lemme show you some cookies that I made! I was going to a potluck, and signed myself up for making dessert. Now, the only thing I can make semi-successfully is cookies. So low and behold! Some awesome chocolate chip cookies. The recipe I used was supposed to yield 24 cookies- so I decided to double that. (SHOULD get 48, right?) I’m loading tray after tray of batter, 12 per tray. So I SHOULD HAVE been done in 4 trays. But NO. I think I made 7 or 8 trays of cookies. I made just under 96 cookies! What an awesome recipe? I’ll share at the end of the cookie segment ;D
PS. Bakers must have some strong arms. I seriously got an arm workout by mixing this batter. (Or I’m just weak ;D)
The recipe I used: (it said it gave 24 cookies, but I got more)
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 large eggs,beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Cream butter and sugar together
- To that mixture, add the eggs and vanilla extract
- Stir in flour, baking soda and salt
- Finally, mix in the chocolate chips
- Drop tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet
- Bake for 8-10 minutes
AND NOW. The unveiling of my new baby! An iPhone 3GS!!!!!!!! My cell phone provider finally started carrying the iPhones, and I had been wanting one for AGES. I figure I had to get it, since I am a proud owner of a 13″ MacBookPro now. Oh Apple, what have you done to me?!?!
The lovely box that it came in. It’s actually embossed and debossed. (So the phone part feels raised, and the ‘home’ button feels indented)! TOO cool.
The box from the side! (I think my table is dirty :/)
I am SO excited about being able to call people and take pictures! (I had an iPod Touch before this).
The actual iPhone, (in front of my MacBook Pro)
Ok, that’s all the exciting new updates in my life. Well, I also have a boatload of exams/projects coming up at school, but I will be done in less than a month! (The finishing in a month part is the only exciting bit of the second sentence…) Wish me luck!
