Things | Film

So I’ve recently had this hankering for shooting some film. But I’ve *never* shot film before! I knew who to call- my ONE friend (Ken) who still shoots film. Shortly after, we meet up and he dropped off all his camera gear with me for a bit, and basically told me to knock myself out! This is the first roll of film I’ve ever shot (barring the old family point/shoot camera from my childhood); it was a roll of Fujifilm 160C. I just took some photos of stuff around my house/neighbourhood. And I’m sharing my favourites with you.

There is definitely something so magical about film that’s just so hard to replicate in digital. And the MYSTERY of not knowing what *exactly* you shot is kind of exciting!! 😀 I definitely checked the back of the film camera EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I took a photo. Old habits die hard, I s’pose.

Camera: Nikon F100
Film: Fujifilm 160 C
Lens: Nikkor 50mm f/1.4

My Vera Wang Flower Princess perfume! (And some LOVELY bokeh, mmm)

A daisy!

The light. Oh, I miss summer already.

Those were my favourite shots from my first roll. Can’t wait to share the portraits soon! 😀 (Keep your eyes peeled)

  1. That last one reminds me of the “Creation of Adam” – wonderful and calming. And -a daisy!- wow.

  2. Oh, I just LOVE these! I love film. I had an old Nikon film camera when I was a teenager and NEVER used it. And now I don’t know where it is!!!!! Im kicking myself about it now 🙁 🙁 🙁
