Right before I started work, I popped down to Portland (Oregon) for a couple days. I actually rented a car and made the drive myself. Crossed something off of my list 🙂 I’ve always wanted to go on a long drive by myself. (6 hours each way- long enough for me!) I had a little red Suzuki Swift for 4 days 🙂 And I got to visit my friend Paul down in Portland.
I’m pretty sure I’ve been to a LOT of states this year already: Washington, Oregon, California, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and DC (which isn’t a state, I know. But I’m counting it). But I want to go to MORE places! I want to go back to New York. I want to go to Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Florida… AND EUROPE. Oh my. Can’t wait to go to Europe one day 🙂
When I was in Portland, the weather was AMAZING, so we thought we would make the drive out to Cannon Beach. Ironically, it was rather overcast out there. Haha. It was still really cool to see the haystack rock out in the ocean.
The beach wasn’t very busy, since it was a weekday AND overcast…
The famous rock 🙂
Obligatory tourist photo…
I wanted one too 🙂
We just hung out in downtown Portland the other days… This was the Convention Centre MAX station, which was super close to where we stayed. I love how the MAX in Portland is free in the downtown region!
The Portland Convention Centre!
One of the many bridges that connect the two sides of Portland…
Portraits on the bridge! Yep yep.
This following photo makes me wish I had blue eyes too!
🙂 Your favourite jet-setter is back in Vancouver (and has been for a couple weeks now)- with no imminent plans to travel as of yet! But fear not, I hope to plan at least 1 more US trip before the end of December this year! 🙂

Hi Sherry! Thanks for dropping by the blog. We just got back from Oregon about a week and a half ago and yeah – the weather was a major bummer. My Cannon Beach shots look pretty much just like yours 😛 Hopefully we’ll find the sun there another time. Cheers!
I Love the shots of the Hey Stacks, very moody. Good on you for crossing another item off your bucket list!
You conveniently forgot to mention shopping for NEW SHOES! hahahaha. Additions can be tough to break.
Come visit again soon for more duets with drag queens on the Max.

Love Portland! 🙂 Didn’t know you drove there all on your own! I can’t drive long… 40 mins and I start to fall asleep. 😉
